What began as an invitation for a cozy New Year's celebration turned into a scene of horror in Mumbai's Kalina area. A 25-year-old woman, frustrated after seven years of a relationship where her 42-year-old lover consistently refused to tie the knot, allegedly snapped during an early-morning argument and used a sharp weapon to severely injure his private parts.





The incident unfolded in her Santacruz East home, where she'd called him over under the pretext of ringing in 2026 together. As the clock ticked past midnight, the conversation turned heated over marriage once again, leading to the violent outburst. The man, bleeding profusely, managed to escape and alert his brother, who rushed him to VN Desai Hospital for emergency care.





Police have registered a case under serious sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for grievous hurt and criminal intimidation. The woman is now on the run, with multiple teams deployed to track her down. This gruesome act has shocked locals and sparked discussions on relationship pressures and extreme reactions to rejection.
