A professor at a medical college on the outskirts of Bengaluru proposed to a student inside the classroom, leading to a heated argument and physical assault by the student and her classmates. The incident occurred during class hours when the professor, wearing a microphone, publicly proposed to the student, naming her as “one of the most important girls in our batch.”

The student immediately objected and denied any prior affection. In the viral video, the professor is heard saying, “You said ‘I love you’ to me,” to which the student responds, “I have not said it.” The argument escalated when the professor mentioned CCTV footage, and the student challenged him to show it.

The situation turned physical when the student and her classmates assaulted the professor on the college premises, hitting him with slippers. The professor was seen walking out of the class after the confrontation.

Police have visited the college and are examining the circumstances. The video has sparked widespread outrage, with many condemning the professor’s behaviour and others discussing the student’s reaction.

The college has not issued an official statement yet. The incident has highlighted issues of inappropriate conduct by faculty members and the response of students in such situations.
