Sony’s ultra-premium WH-1000XX "The Collexion" noise canceling headphones are selling for $300.79 in certified refurbished condition through Secondipity on eBay, more than 50% off the $649 list price. The deal runs ahead of Black Friday, and the discount is large enough to make a flagship model cheaper than a brand-new WH-1000XM6.

The coupon code is SAVE20TECH, which takes 20% off at checkout. Shipping is free after the coupon is applied. Each unit is certified refurbished and comes with a 2-year Allstate warranty, which gives buyers coverage beyond the bare refurb label.

A Flagship Most Shoppers Have Overlooked

Sony’s WH-1000 lineup is widely regarded as one of the best wireless noise canceling options on the market. The current generation model is the WH-1000XM6, and that is the name most buyers recognize. Few people realize Sony released an even higher-end headphone in the same family earlier this year.

That model is the WH-1000XX. It was built to sit above the XM6, and the price reflects that position. Its normal retail price is $649. At the current refurbished price, it costs less than a new WH-1000XM6, which is the reason this deal is drawing attention.

Why the Build Stands Out

The biggest difference between the two headphones is the physical build. The WH-1000XX uses a sturdy metal frame that is almost entirely wrapped in hand-brushed stainless steel and vegan leather. Even the buttons are metal. There is very little plastic on the headphones, especially when compared with the XM6.

Comfort has also been reworked. The headband is wider and padded, which spreads weight more evenly across the head. The earcups are oversized and designed to sit around the ears rather than press onto them. For anyone who wears headphones for hours, that change matters more than a spec sheet line.

Audio and Processing Upgrades

Inside, the WH-1000XX uses custom-designed and tuned 30mm carbon composite dynamic drivers. It pairs them with Sony’s latest Integrated Processor V3. The WH-1000XM6 still runs on the previous V2 processor, which marks a clear generational gap under the hood.

The newer chip brings support for spatial surround sound, DSEE Ultimate audio upscaling, and Bluetooth 6.0 with Multipoint. Multipoint lets the headphones connect to more than one device, which is useful for anyone switching between a laptop and a phone during a workday.

Noise cancellation runs through the HD Noise Cancelling Processor QN3. That processor manages a twelve-microphone array, which the headphones use to improve voice clarity during calls. The noise canceling and call quality are tied to the same microphone system, so the processing work is doing double duty.

Battery, Charging and Case

Battery life is listed at up to 24 hours of continuous playback. The headphones support USB Type-C quick charging. Five minutes on the charger can deliver 1.5 hours of playtime, which is handy when you forget to top up before a flight or a commute.

The WH-1000XX also includes a more practical carrying case. It has a molded-in handle, which the case that ships with the WH-1000XM6 does not offer. For a headphone at this price, the case is a small detail that adds real everyday value.

Is a Refurbished Pair Worth the Risk?

Refurbished electronics always raise the same question: what is the catch? Secondipity is described in reviews from buyers as a large Sony liquidator, and those buyers say the certified refurbished headphones are close to indistinguishable from new units. That is the strongest signal in the deal, and it is the reason shoppers are moving quickly.

The certified refurb headphones are pretty much indistinguishable from brand new.

The warranty is the second safeguard. A 2-year Allstate warranty covers the unit after purchase, so the buyer is not relying only on the seller’s word. Shoppers should still check the listing details on eBay before buying, including the exact model name, the warranty terms, and the seller’s return policy.

The math is simple. A $649 headphone at $300.79 saves more than $340 before any additional discount. Once the SAVE20TECH coupon is applied, the total is the price that matters, and the free shipping removes one more cost from the equation.

What the Deal Means for Buyers Right Now

The timing is the pressure point. Black Friday is approaching, and retailers across the market will push discounts on audio gear. This Secondipity listing is already deep into the premium tier, which makes it harder to match at a similar level of build quality and features.

For buyers who want the best Sony noise canceling experience and are not interested in paying full price for the newest model, the WH-1000XX fills an unusual gap. It delivers a metal-and-leather build, a newer processor than the XM6, a 24-hour battery rating, and a case with a molded handle. At $300.79, it is hard to ignore.

Stock on a deal like this can disappear without much warning. Refurbished inventory is limited by nature, and a listing priced this far below retail tends to move fast. Buyers who want the headphones should decide quickly, check the warranty and seller details, and apply the SAVE20TECH code before checkout.
