New Apex Variant Launch
Royal Enfield introduced the updated 2026 Guerrilla 450 lineup at the GRRR Nights festival in Guwahati, headlined by the all-new Apex variant. This sport-oriented version features a more aggressive riding triangle with lower and forward-positioned aluminium handlebars for enhanced rider engagement and a forward-leaning stance.
Tyre and Grip Improvements
The Apex variant comes with new road-biased 17-inch Vredestein Centuro ST tyres that deliver improved grip, especially in wet and low-friction conditions. To address previous criticism, the standard Dash and Flash variants now feature updated CEAT Gripp XL tyres with a revised compound and tread pattern for better traction in both dry and wet conditions.
Styling and Feature Updates
The Apex stands out with a sharper design including a front cowl, sculpted rear seat cowl, rim tapes, and new colour options: Apex Red, Black, and Green. The Dash variant gains Twilight Blue colour along with practical accessories such as handguards and a headlight grille. The Tripper Dash 4-inch TFT display now allows Android users to mirror Google Maps navigation without keeping the phone unlocked. The Royal Enfield app has also been updated with more ride data and insights.
Mechanical and Ride Mode Changes
The 452cc liquid-cooled Sherpa engine continues to produce 40bhp and 40Nm, paired with a six-speed gearbox. Ride modes have been renamed to Street and Sport, now with a new retention feature that remembers the last selected mode.
Pricing and Availability
Bookings for the 2026 Guerrilla 450 range open from March 27, 2026, with retail sales and test rides starting March 31. The updates position the Guerrilla 450 as a more versatile urban roadster offering choices between relaxed street riding and aggressive, corner-focused performance.
