SCUF Gaming has launched an early Black Friday sale that takes up to 25% off its Xbox and PC gaming controllers, and the discounts run through November 8.

Premium controllers rarely come cheap, and SCUF has never tried to be an exception. Its top-end models are priced upwards of $200. That makes a sale on this tier worth a close look, especially for anyone shopping for an endgame controller with a look that stands out from the crowd.

VALOR PRO Wireless: The Top Pick for Xbox and PC

The VALOR PRO Wireless is SCUF’s best pro controller for Xbox and PC. The Smoke edition, with its translucent dark gray shell, is on sale right now for $139.99 after a 26% instant discount. Shoppers who want something bolder can pick up the ‘Omen’ or ‘Ascension’ color schemes for $20 more.

The controller is officially licensed for Xbox and packs nearly every feature SCUF offers. It starts with Endurance TMR joysticks. TMR joysticks use electromagnetic technology with no moving parts, which makes them highly resistant to stick drift. They offer finer control and higher precision, and they are more power efficient. They also cost more to manufacture, which is why they show up mainly in top-grade controllers.

The front layout mirrors the familiar Xbox asymmetrical control scheme, but SCUF has added upgrades. The left and right triggers are dual action, with two separate trigger stops. A flip of a switch lets you choose between a short-throw, mouse-click fast action and the standard full-throw action. Four additional paddle switches on the rear can be pressed without your thumbs leaving the thumbsticks.

Connectivity is tri-mode, covering wireless, wired, and Bluetooth. Wireless mode supports Corsair’s low latency SlipStream technology. The grips are sweat-resistant and textured, and the controller offers a 17-hour battery with USB-C charging. PC players get 1,000Hz polling and deeper customization through the Valor Companion App.

VALOR PRO Wired: The Budget-Friendly Alternative

If you don’t need wireless, the wired VALOR PRO is the value play. It retails for $119.99 but is currently on sale for $79.99. That is a $40 gap for a controller that is identical in design and features to the wireless version, with one major difference: it uses Hall Effect sensors instead of TMR.

Hall Effect tech is not quite as precise as TMR, but it’s still a significant upgrade over drift-prone analog sticks that you find in most other controllers.

That comparison matters. Hall Effect sensors also use electromagnetic technology with no moving parts, so they avoid the drift problems that plague many standard analog sticks. Expensive models such as the Xbox Elite Series 2 and the PS5 DualSense Edge are named as examples of controllers that rely on the older design.

The wired version connects to your Xbox or PC through a detachable USB Type-C cable. Many older gamers still prefer wired connections because they remove any worry about input lag.

Envision Pro V2: Built for PC Players Who Want Extra Inputs

The Envision Pro V2 is the latest generation of the Envision Pro series, and it is on sale for $129.99 in standard colors and $159.99 for the showstopper finishes. It is a PC-specific wireless controller with a feature that sets it apart: five ‘G-Keys’ positioned along the bottom edge.

The G-Keys work much like hotkeys on a keyboard. You can bind them to your most-used actions, shortcuts, and macros through the Valor Companion App. Add four rear paddles and two side action buttons, and the controller gives you eleven more inputs than a traditional gamepad.

The layout is front-facing and symmetrical. It includes two interchangeable Hall Effect thumbsticks in short, long, domed, and concave options, a D-pad, and XYAB buttons with clicky Omron mechanical switches. The triggers are dual action as well.

The Envision Pro V2 does not offer the tri-mode connectivity found on the VALOR PRO Wireless. It still supports Corsair’s SlipStream wireless technology and can run wired through its detachable USB Type-C cable. Its internal battery delivers up to 19 hours of playtime, which is longer than the VALOR PRO.

Why the Timing Matters

The window is short. The sale runs through November 8, and the biggest cuts land on the models that sit at the top of SCUF’s lineup. If a controller with a unique look and a deep feature set is on your list, the current prices are the lowest the lineup has been in this sale period. Check the cart before the deals end.
