Hyderabad police have apprehended a 32-year-old man in connection with the brutal murder of his wife, whose throat was allegedly slit following a series of escalating marital disputes. The arrest of Sulaiman Sayeed, also known as Suleman, from Kishan Bagh, brings a swift resolution to the investigation into the death of his 30-year-old wife, Nishad Fatima. This tragic incident underscores the devastating consequences of unresolved domestic conflict and deep-seated suspicion within a marriage.

Authorities revealed that the couple's relationship had been plagued by domestic disputes for an extended period. Police records indicate multiple attempts at reconciliation, including counselling sessions and mediation proceedings before a Lok Adalat, all of which ultimately failed to bridge their differences. Despite these interventions, Sayeed allegedly continued to subject Nishad Fatima to both physical and mental harassment, creating a volatile home environment.

A primary driver of the conflict, according to investigators, was Sulaiman Sayeed's persistent suspicion regarding his wife's character. He reportedly harboured doubts and frequently objected to her visits to her mother's house, which further intensified the marital discord. These recurring arguments and the underlying mistrust created an atmosphere of extreme tension, culminating in the fatal confrontation.

The horrific act occurred on the night of June 7. Following yet another heated argument, Sayeed allegedly armed himself with a kitchen knife. He then waited for an opportune moment to carry out the attack. When Nishad Fatima was alone and asleep at their residence, he reportedly slit her throat, causing her immediate death. The suddenness and brutality of the act left no chance for her survival.

After committing the murder, the accused reportedly attempted to cover his tracks. He allegedly disposed of both his and his wife's mobile phones in an effort to erase potential evidence before fleeing the scene. This desperate attempt to evade justice, however, proved futile against the determined efforts of the police.

The Bahadurpura Police initiated an intensive investigation immediately after receiving a complaint about the murder. A dedicated team, leveraging a combination of technical evidence, field intelligence, and sustained tracking efforts, worked tirelessly to identify and locate the perpetrator. Their meticulous work led to Sayeed's apprehension within days of the crime, preventing him from remaining at large.

The investigative team responsible for cracking the case was led by Detective Inspector V. Madhan Lal and Sub-Inspector G. Ambedkar, supported by other personnel from the Bahadurpura Police Station. Their operations were conducted under the direct guidance of ACP Falaknuma M.A. Javeed and the overall supervision of senior police officers.
