OTT Movies This Week: Batta, Immortal, SI Yugandhar

IN SHORTBatta, Immortal and SI Yugandhar lead this week’s OTT releases, October 26-30. Full platform-wise list for Netflix, Prime Video, Sony LIV and more.

Batta, the comedy drama starring Vijay Sethupathi, lands on Netflix on October 29, one of more than a dozen new titles rolling out across streaming platforms between October 26 and 30.

Theatres get a busy final week of October too. The Venkatesh and Trivikram combination Aadarsha Kutumbam is set to release alongside Vishwak Sen’s Cult, Killer and Chandrayaan. But for weekend binge-watchers, the real action is on the home screen.

Telugu titles heading to streaming

Four Telugu-language picks stand out this week, and they cover a wide range of moods.

Tellakagitham is a love story led by Harsh Roshan and Nakshatra. Harsh Roshan earned recognition with the film Court, and this one is directed by Ramesh Bandreddi. It received a mixed response in theatres, but it is now heading to digital audiences on ETV Win from October 29.

SI Yugandhar is a crime suspense thriller starring Adi Saikumar. Directed by Raghavendra Katari, the film is built around police investigations and the crimes at its center. It arrives on Netflix on October 30.

Immortal is where the week’s genre mix gets interesting. GV Prakash Kumar and Kayadu Lohar star in this romantic horror thriller, and it will stream on Sony LIV from October 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.

This film blends love, fear and suspense.

That line sums up how Immortal is being positioned for viewers. Love, horror and tension share the same runtime, which makes it a strong pick for a late-night watch.

Batta rounds out the Telugu slate. The Vijay Sethupathi comedy drama arrives on Netflix on October 29 in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi, giving the film a much wider reach than its theatrical run alone.

Netflix’s day-by-day rollout

Netflix is carrying the heaviest load this week, with international films, series and documentaries spread across all five days.

On October 26, the English series Minimum Wage arrives. On October 27, viewers get The One About Matthew Perry, an English documentary. The Hindi series Dhindora Season 1 follows on October 28.

October 29 is the busiest day on the platform. Balara: The Blood Island, Batta, U, Me and Aj all start streaming that day.

October 30 closes the week with the largest batch. Akka, Avarachan and Boys, SI Yugandhar, Sigma, How to Ruin Diwali, A Couple of Lies, The Birthday Gift, Collision Course, Dead End Job and Mithe Me Can Hai all go live.

Other platforms worth a look

Amazon Prime Video adds two English titles. Drive: The Pretenders begins streaming on October 28, and Apocalypse Z: New World arrives on October 30.

JioHotstar has two releases on October 30. Love Always is a Telugu dubbed series, and Obsession is an English film.

ZEE5 brings two originals on October 30. Rudravanam PS is a thriller series, and Hostel Hadsa is a Hindi series.

Sony LIV carries Immortal in its Telugu dubbed format from October 30, and ETV Win takes Tellakagitham on October 29. Apple TV+ adds the English series Nocturne on October 30.

What to pick for the weekend

For a theatre-style crowd-pleaser with a comic edge, Batta is the obvious starting point. For a late-night pick that shifts between romance and fear, Immortal fits the bill. Viewers who prefer a crime investigation will find SI Yugandhar on Netflix from the same day.

Telugu viewers have a particularly full week. Tellakagitham, SI Yugandhar, Immortal and Batta all offer Telugu-language options, and the dubbed series Love Always adds another option for those who want something longer.

Streaming schedules shift, and platforms sometimes change release timings. Check each service directly before planning your weekend, but this list is the set of titles confirmed for the week of October 26 to 30.
