A 30-year-old woman allegedly pointed a pistol at her father and sister-in-law and threatened to shoot them following a dispute over a car loan verification in Ghaziabad’s Sahibabad area on September 8.

The horrifying confrontation unfolded at around 5 pm in Vrindavan Garden Colony when Priyanka Tomar, who had been residing away from her family home for approximately two and a half years, arrived at the property accompanied by a female associate. The purpose of her visit was to seek her father’s verification for a car loan application she had submitted. However, when her father, identified as Hitesh Tomar, flatly refused to provide the required verification, a heated argument broke out between the two.

Escalation into Violence and Assault

What started as a verbal disagreement quickly deteriorated into physical violence. According to the police complaint lodged by Hitesh Tomar, the verbal abuse rapidly escalated as Priyanka allegedly launched a physical assault against her father inside the house. Seeing the violent altercation unfold, her sister-in-law stepped in to intervene, only to become entangled in a violent scuffle with the accused woman as well.

The intense commotion inside the residence drew the attention of concerned neighbors, who rushed to the spot to investigate the disturbance. Seeing the crowd gathering outside, Priyanka and her accompanying friend briefly departed from the scene, temporarily halting the chaotic conflict.

Chilling Return and Armed Threats

The respite was short-lived, as the situation took an even more alarming turn roughly 25 minutes later. Police reports indicate that Priyanka returned to the Vrindavan Garden Colony house alongside her friend, determined to confront her family once again. Demonstrating extreme aggression, the accused allegedly forced her way onto the property by knocking down the main entrance gate.

Upon breaching the residence, Priyanka produced a handgun, aiming the weapon directly at her father and sister-in-law while issuing explicit death threats. The entire terrifying ordeal was captured on CCTV security cameras installed within the premises, providing law enforcement with crucial visual evidence of the incident.

"Police teams were conducting searches to locate the accused, and further legal action will be taken after the accused are apprehended," stated Assistant Commissioner of Police (Sahibabad) Amit Saxena.

Police Investigation and Search Operation

Terrified for their safety amidst the armed confrontation, Hitesh Tomar and his daughter-in-law retreated to the upper level of the house, seeking refuge on the first floor until the armed woman and her friend finally exited the premises. Following the harrowing encounter, Hitesh Tomar approached the authorities to report the crime.

Official legal proceedings were initiated on September 9, when the Sahibabad police station formally registered a case against Priyanka Tomar and her companion based on the father’s detailed complaint. Assistant Commissioner of Police Amit Saxena confirmed that specialized police teams have been deployed to track down and apprehend the two fleeing suspects. Investigators are currently conducting a detailed analysis of the recorded CCTV footage alongside other gathered material evidence to establish the complete sequence of events and ensure rigorous legal action upon their arrest.
