Model and influencer Shraddha Dubey is behind bars following an 11-day nationwide manhunt that exposed a calculated escape plan. Dubey was tracked down and arrested in Nagpur by the Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force and Lucknow Police. She had been on the run since October 9, when Shiva Sharma plummeted to his death from the balcony of an apartment in Lucknow’s Hazratganj area. While the incident was initially chalked up as an accidental fall, a furious family intervention recast the tragedy into a suspected murder investigation, alleging Sharma was assaulted and tortured before being hurled off the building.

During intense hours of interrogation led personally by the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Dubey offered chilling insights into how she slipped through police nets. She admitted that her boyfriend, Amir, accompanied her straight from Lucknow and actively helped her cross the border into Nepal through Bahraich. Police are now moving swiftly to add Amir’s name to the First Information Report and are preparing to issue a cash reward for information leading to his capture.

Desperate to avoid the very viral fame that defined her online presence, Dubey ditch-coded her movements. She confessed to visiting a hotel in Kanpur on October 18, only to flee before completing the booking when staff demanded identification. Fearing her face was already plastered across news feeds, she abandoned traditional luxury stays. Instead, she deliberately sought out smaller hotels and lounges that skipped ID requirements, bouncing through Agra, Kanpur, Rae Bareli, and Nagpur using hired cabs.

Investigators also suspect that Dubey kept her driver, Danish, trapped in her orbit purely as a human shield to facilitate her flight and keep her secrets buried. Authorities maintain that someone was continuously feeding her logistics and guidance at every stop.

During interrogation, Dubey disclosed several details but remained silent on certain aspects of the case, repeatedly complaining of difficulty in breathing and speaking.

With a lookout circular previously slapped across borders by the DCP to prevent her from fleeing abroad, the net is now closing on anyone who aided her brazen getaway.
