Eesha Review: Outdated Horror with Few Thrills

IN SHORTEesha challenges four friends to spend three nights in a haunted house to expose a fake baba, leading to strange deadly occurrences they must escape. Sound design provides occasional jump scares, Hebah Patel and Akhil Raj perform decently. But dull start, poor gripping screenplay, repetitive loud effects, lack of emotional connect, and outdated execution make it noisy without real thrills.

Haunted house horrors can deliver cheap fun scares if timed right, but Eesha mostly just made me wish for subtitles on all that noise. Four friends take a fake baba's challenge—three nights in spooky house for proof no ghosts—and things go predictably weird. Hebah Patel catches eye even with limited range, Akhil Raj solid in support, Siri Hanmanth fine too. RR Dhruvan's BGM elevates few moments, sound design carries jump scares early on.

But after initial excitement, repetitive loud effects suffocate instead of scare—feels like volume cranked to hide weak writing. First half drags badly, needs heavy trim, no tension builds, characters lack depth so no care when danger hits. In my view outdated like old TV episodes, ordinary story poor execution—no real thrills just noise. Skip unless desperate for basic horror; better options out there.

TL;DR

  • Hebah Patel holds attention despite limited acting range in lead role.
  • Akhil Raj delivers very good supporting performance standing out.
  • Siri Hanmanth performs well in her supporting character.
  • Sound design effective providing few early jump scares.
  • Background score elevates select scenes adequately.
  • Dull prolonged start tests audience patience.
  • Poor screenplay fails create gripping tension.
  • Repetitive loud sound effects become suffocating.
  • Lack emotional connect with characters.
  • Outdated execution feels like old horror tropes.
