KCR Fan’s Padayatra to Erravalli Seeks His Return as CM

IN SHORTMahabubnagar fan Kavali Ramchander walked to KCR’s Erravalli farmhouse seeking blessings and his return as Telangana CM. Padayatras are multiplying.

A fan from Mahabubnagar district walked all the way to K. Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse in Erravalli to seek his blessings and to voice a simple wish: that the BRS chief become Telangana chief minister again.

Kavali Ramchander, a resident of Ankella village in Kovilakonda mandal, undertook the padayatra recently and reached the Erravalli farmhouse on Sunday. He had come on foot from a distant area. KCR met him in person, asked after his well-being and the details of his journey, and blessed him. The former chief minister specifically praised the affection the fan showed and his dedication to the party.

After meeting KCR, Ramchander said he had taken up the yatra because he believes Telangana’s development is possible only under KCR’s leadership, and that KCR should return as chief minister.

Telangana’s development is possible only under KCR’s leadership, and he should become chief minister again.

The walk is not an isolated gesture. Erravalli, located in the Gajwel constituency of Siddipet district, has seen a steep rise in crowds around the farmhouse in recent times. People arrive from different districts across the state, including ordinary citizens, farmers, young people and party workers. Many of them come specifically to meet the leader they still call their own.

What keeps them coming is memory. Visitors often recall the welfare programmes KCR implemented while in office, including Rythu Bandhu, free electricity for farmers and the construction of irrigation and other projects. For these supporters, those schemes are the reason they want him back in the top seat.

Devotion has also taken a creative form. During the Vinayaka Chavithi, Bathukamma and Dussehra festivities, young people expressed their admiration for KCR through songs. The festivals gave the BRS base a stage, and the songs carried the same message that the padayatras now carry on foot.

Ramchander’s walk is also not the only one. A few days earlier, a group of young men from Manthani in Peddapalli district, identified as Tennipal, Burla Venkatesh and Konda Venkatesh, walked to Erravalli with the same wish. Their journey, too, was driven by a vow that KCR would return as chief minister.

Why this matters beyond one farmhouse

For Telangana’s political landscape, the scale of this devotion is hard to ignore. Walking pilgrimages, bike rallies and festival songs are coming from multiple regions at once, and they are centred on one leader’s personal bond with his supporters. The question on many minds is whether this fervour will translate into political momentum for the BRS and its chief. The sources do not provide any answer to that question, but the crowds at Erravalli make the curiosity hard to avoid.

KCR, for his part, is meeting these visitors one by one. He is hearing them out, asking about their families, their journeys and their reasons for coming. Each visit adds another story to a growing pattern of loyalty that is pulling people from across the state towards a single farmhouse in Siddipet district.

Whether the wish of these fans becomes reality is a matter for the future. What is already clear is that the desire for KCR’s return is spreading faster than many expected, and it is moving from festival stages to village roads. The road to Erravalli is getting busier, and the footsteps on it are growing louder.
