India spin-bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule confirmed that 37-year-old all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja remains firmly in the frame for the 2027 ODI World Cup following his return to the national team in Thiruvananthapuram on September 27.

The electric veteran made a high-profile return to India’s ODI XI in the series opener against the West Indies after missing recent limited-overs assignments against Afghanistan and England. While Jadeja finished his 10-over quota with figures of 0 for 54 in his comeback match and was not required to bat during India’s lightning chase of 296 in 41.4 overs, team management made it clear that his long-term prospects remain brighter than ever.

Bahutule added further validation to Jadeja’s ongoing quest, stating: "With Axar also being around, the tournaments or series which we play in the coming time, we will be able to assess performances or who can be of utility. But, Jaddu with his batting skills, (and) the experience he gets in, is definitely doing well and I am sure he will be looked into in the coming time."
